Senior Software Programmer

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis (approximately 20% of daily work time) i. Work with business representatives to define & clarify user requirements, perform detailed analysis, develop detailed designs, and implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet the business requirements. ii. Participate in technical collaboration meetings, and provide the project management team with periodical reviews on implementation status as well as weekly reports on task plan for custom software implementations. iii. In coordination with business partners and users, assists to ensure that critical strategic decisions are vetted and well thought out prior to implementation. iv. Assist the team to define the project goal and deliverables, plan and schedule project timelines and provide support to project team. v. Serve as a knowledge resource to help guide Client on how to best implement SAP Ariba within their organization 2. Design Solution and Support (approximately 15% of daily work time) i. Assist with technical aspects of site configuration and perform customizations. ii. Work with client on functionality and setup of Ariba Integration tools. iii. Work with client on data extract, mapping and load into/from Ariba system. iv. Provide Client with the OND data dictionary, which provides file definitions and field descriptions for each integration event. v. Provide the end users, with technical supports and user training. Mentoring juniors on design patterns as well as design and implementation best practices (including Agile methodologies). vi. Provides an introduction to and overview of the technical aspects of the implementation, the scope of the integration work, and the relevant documentation. vii. Provides an introduction to the out-of-the-box accounting elements and concepts with the goal of understanding customer’s accounting requirements viii. Provides an overview of the supplier object model and a discussion on how to rationalize/map ERP vendor master to facilitate supplier integration ix. Provides an overview of the options related to PO and Receipt integration x. Collaborate with Client team to develop customized solutions or workarounds for business requirements that cannot be met via out-of-the-box configuration 3. Development (approximately 55% of daily work time) i. Configure and Implement complete Ariba Procure to pay cycle along with Ariba Procurement Content like creating PR, PO, Goods receipt, Invoice and Payments and its Integration with SAP ERP TOOLS. ii. Configure SAP Ariba integration with SAP ERP either through Mediated Connectivity or Direct connectivity of Integration. iii. Configure and customize client systems and interfaces. iv. Gather, format and load master data and content. v. Configure approval rules as per Client’s Business process. vi. Create and Manage Project Templates for Ariba Upstream Projects like Sourcing projects and Contract Management as per client business process and Requirements. vii. Assist in enabling and testing SSO. viii. Provide Support for installation and configuration of SAP transports. ix. Perform suite integration between Upstream and Downstream SAP Ariba Applications. x. Configure web service endpoints and assist in initial connectivity troubleshooting. 4. Testing and Documentation (approximately 10% of daily work time) i. Responsible for writing test cases (procedures) for Unit testing & Integration testing. ii. Develop and execute complex test plans for end to end, validation, and regression testing. iii. Identify, report, and manage defects in the defect tracking system. iv. Support business clients for UAT test preparation including resolving customer issues. v. Ensure all Technical & Non-Technical documentation, Procedure documents, Known Error Data base are up-to-date. vi. Creating and updating high-level technical documents outlining architecture that aligns with the business processes. vii. Maintain deployment documentation, processes, guidelines, procedures. Must have at least an Associate’s degree in Commerce, Computer Science or Information Technology and 120 months of experience as a Software Developer or in a similar IT role. Must have an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, and a SAP Certified Application Associate-Ariba Integration. Job Location: Charlotte, NC.
